To increase security of using email, as of May 2011, setting of Pacific Link customers' email will be slightly changed, in term of authentication required by server. How to set your email will be described below. We have provided setting manual for some popular email client softwares: - MS Outlook Express ver 6 and above
- MS Outlook ver 2007 and above
- Macintosh Mail versi 2.1.3 and above
MS Outlook Express ver 6 and above
Please follow the instruction below to change the setting of Outlook Express:
- Open your Outlook Express application
- On 'Tools' menu, click 'Account'.
- Choose 'Mail' and click 'Properties' then choose 'Server' on the tab.
- Below the 'Server Information' section, fill in 'Outgoing Mail (SMTP)' column with: smtp.pacific.net.id

- Below the 'Outgoing Mail Server' section, check 'My server requires authentication' box and click 'Setting…', this will open 'Outgoing Mail Server' dialog box.
- Below the 'Logon Information' section, please check 'Use same settings as my incoming mail server' radio button.
- Click 'OK', then OK, then Close to confirm.

MS Outlook ver 2007 and above
- Open your MS Outlook.
- On menu, choose 'Tools' , then click 'Account Settings' .
- Then on 'E-mail' tab, click 'Change...' then click 'More Settings...'


- Click 'Outgoing Server' tab and put 'check' mark on My Outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
- Click on radio button 'Use same settings as my incoming mail server'.

- Click OK.
Macintosh Mail (ver 2.1.3 and above)
- Open your Macintosh Mail.
- On Mail menu, choose 'Preferences...', then choose Accounts.
- On POP Account and Account Information tab, please fill 'Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)' column, or change with 'smtp.pacific.net.id'
- Then click 'Server Setting...' under that column.

- On 'Authentication' column, choose 'Password'
- Fill 'User Name' column with your username.
- Password column may be typed now or after (leave it blank).

- Click OK, 'Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) column will become 'smtp.pacific.net.id:wprawoto' as seen on the following picture.

- Close dialog box.
